Suzuki Escudo Grand Vitara is a 5-door right-hand compact sports utility vehicle initially introduced in Japan in July 1988.  This modern and innovative trendy SUV is based on 4 consecutive generations and the first generation was offered with a mini SUV consisted of a front-engine, rear-wheel drive with an alternate option of four-wheel drive layout design structure. It was also built with different body style variations such as 2-door convertible, 3-door wagon, and a 5-door wagon. The power train engine was equipped with multiple choices of 1.6 L, 1.8 L, and 2.0 L petrol as well as also provided with 1.9 liters and 2.0 liters of turbocharged diesel fuel engine. It was powered by 3 to 4-speeds automatic and 5-speed manual gear transmission.

The second generation was presented on the 18th January 1998 consisted of a larger, spacious, and powerful design appearance. It was also known as Suzuki Grand Vitara, Chevrolet Grand Vitara, and the Suzuki XL-7. 

 

The present generation has been launched on the 15th October 2015 based on a compact crossover stylish off-road all-terrain 4x4 SUV Design. The interior is highly spacious and comfortable with good amount of legroom space and extensive rear side trunk luggage storage accommodation.
