Suzuki Escudo is an adventurous and luxurious sports utility vehicle initially introduced in July 1988. The first generation escudo was a mini SUV Class built with a multiple choice of body styles like 2-door convertible, 3-door and 5-door wagon. It was also known as Suzuki Sidekick. It was offered with power train engine capacities of 1.6L I4, 1.8L I4, and 2.0L V6 Petrol fuel. Some other fuel options were 1.9L I4 and 2.0L I4 Diesel fuel engine. This Vibrant SUV was also powered by 3-speed and 4-speed automatic as well as 5-speed manual transmission. It had a front engine, rear-wheel drive with an option of four-wheel drive layout design structure.
The second generation escudo was designed with a compact urban SUV Style launched on 18th January 1998. It was also popularly known as Suzuki Grand Vitara, Chevrolet Grand Vitara, and Mazda Proceed Levante. It had a sleek shine robust exterior and spacious comfortable interior design for customers. It was offered with 2.0 liters of gasoline with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. 
The third generation escudo has been purposefully designed for an off-road all-terrain driving journey experience.
