Nissan Gloria was a glorious and luxurious urban class executive sedan large-sized car introduced in 1959 as Prince Gloria. This elegant and sophisticated sedan car consisted of eleven consecutive generations. It was a perfect designed vehicle for a comfortable and pleasure drive.

 

The first generation was known as BLSI Gloria which had been built with a front engine and a rear-wheel drive layout design structure. It had a 1.9 L I4 engine and powered by 4-speed manual transmission. The second generation was named as S40 which was launched in 1962 and offered with a body style variation of 4-door sedan and 5-door station wagon. It was built with engine choices of 1.9L, 2.0 L, and 2.5 Liters of gasoline with a manual speed transmission.

 

The third generation A30 was built with a restyled deluxe body work in April 1967. The engine variations were 2.0 L I4 and 2.0 L I6 with both manual as well as 3-speed automatic transmission.

 

The latest version of Gloria was introduced in June 1999 by taking design assistance with Porsche. It was equipped with direct injection on all engines with the DD Designation. It ended its 46 years of longest successful production after being replaced by the Nissan Fuga in October 2004. The eleventh generation Y34 was also known by some other names as Nissan Cedric and Infiniti M. It had a 4-door hardtop body style variation with a front engine, rear-wheel drive with an option of all-wheel drive layout structure.
